Glass City Open Ready To Get Underway

The 2005 Glass City Open is ready to get underway at 10am on Wednesday with a field of 88 players.
All three of the last year's champions, Charlie Bryant, Johnny Archer and Nick Varner, are in attendance this year. Those players are joined by notables including Earl Strickland, Corey Deuel, Shawn Putnam, Dennis Hatch, Danny Harriman, Larry Nevel, Danny Basavich, Jim Rempe, Tommy Kennedy and Keith McCready.
This is the 4th year of the Glass City Open under it's new promoters Tom Gearhart and Tom Elder and it has been a labor of love for them each year. They consider the tournament a time for the players and fans to get together and enjoy a week of pool and have lost money on the event each year without any concern.
As in previous years, the Children's Miracle Network is at the event and will be hosting a 'Beat the Champion' table to raise money for their worthy cause.
