The visitors had taken an 11th-minute lead when keeper Sascha Kirschstein clipped Robin Van Persie’s heels as he weaved through. The Hamburg stopper saw red and Gilberto scored from the penalty.
The home side battled manfully after that but, seven minutes into the second half, Rosicky ended their resistance with a wonderful strike. He collected Van Persie’s pass 25 yards out, took a touch and curled a wonderful shot into the top corner of the net. Read entire article
